The air separation system operates based on density differences and aerodynamic suspension principles. Through a zig-zag cross-flow channel, it enables multi-stage dynamic separation of light and heavy fractions. It is positioned as a “front-end purification module” after shredding and before metal separation.
In system engineering design, it is typically installed between shredder discharge and magnetic/ECS units, performing critical functions such as light fraction removal, material disentangling, and purity enhancement. By removing foam, plastics, rubber, fibers, and dust, it eliminates the “carpet effect” that covers valuable metals, exposing them for accurate downstream detection. This significantly improves separation efficiency and precision. Additionally, the closed-loop airflow and multi-stage dust removal system reduce emissions and energy consumption while improving the working environment.
From a system perspective, it enhances output purity, reduces downstream load, and protects equipment, ensuring long-term plant stability.

Recycles 80–90% of air, reducing energy consumption while adapting to dusty or moist materials for stable operation.

4. Front-end load reduction:
