Scrap Metal Shredder — The Core Shredding Hub Driving Metal Liberation and Separation Efficiency

Range: Throughput: 4–200 TPH

Application: End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) recycling plants - Mixed metal recycling plants - Aluminum recycling plants - Motor recycling plants - White goods recycling systems

The SHC/SHH metal shredder is the core shredding unit within the SIMVIC Metal Shredding Systems, designed for high-intensity size reduction and effective liberation of scrap steel, aluminum, and mixed metals. Its purpose is not merely size reduction, but to release the bonding between materials, enabling efficient downstream separation.

Within the process chain, it is positioned between pre-processing and separation, serving as the critical node where liberation quality determines sorting performance. It enhances the efficiency of magnetic, eddy current, and sensor-based sorting by effectively separating metals from non-metal fractions. At the same time, its stable high throughput ensures continuous and consistent plant output.

With multiple rotor configurations and drive options, the machine can be optimized for different material types, from light scrap to heavy steel. This modular design allows seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems, forming a key component of SIMVIC’s turnkey plant solutions.

- Power range: 150–10000 HP (110–7350 kW)

- Throughput: 4–200 TPH

- Rotor size: 3030–108108 mm

- Rotor types: disc / box / spider / modular

- Drive system: fluid coupling (offline/online) / soft starter / VFD
