Double-Shaft Shredder — The Core Homogenization Node for Complex Scrap Breakdown and Stable Feeding

Range: Throughput: 10–30 TPH

Application: End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) recycling plants - Mixed metal recycling plants - Aluminum recycling plants - Motor recycling plants - White goods recycling systems

The SHDS twin-shaft shredder is a key homogenization unit within the SIMVIC Metal Shredding Systems, designed for processing laser-cut steel scrap, loose aluminum, and mixed materials with non-metal components. Through twin-shaft cutting and tearing, it breaks down complex materials into more uniform sizes.

Within the process chain, it serves as a material homogenization and feed stabilization unit. It transforms irregular and entangled materials into a consistent and flowable stream, eliminating bridging and blockage risks. At the same time, it stabilizes output size, reducing load fluctuations in downstream shredding and separation equipment. Its capability to handle mixed materials with non-metal fractions enables more consistent downstream separation conditions, improving sorting accuracy and recovery efficiency. It is a critical transition node between pre-processing and fine separation.
