Sensor-Based Sorting System (XRT & Vision Sorter) — The Final Refining Hub for High-Purity Metal Output

Range: Sorting size: 5mm – 120mm

Application: ELV recycling plants• Mixed metal recycling plants• Aluminum recycling plants• Motor recycling plants• ASR processing plants• PCB and e-waste recovery

The sensor-based sorting system is the core module of SIMVIC’s advanced sorting architecture, integrating XRT and Color sorting to perform deep purification and value upgrading.

Within the process chain, it is typically positioned downstream of eddy current and inductive sorting, acting as a secondary refining stage. XRT identifies materials based on atomic density differences for alloy upgrading and heavy metal removal, while AI vision sorting distinguishes materials by color, texture, and shape for surface-level classification.

System-level value includes:

1. Purity upgrade: Elevates mixed metals to near smelter-grade quality (aluminum purity up to 98–99%).

2. Value amplification: Enables alloy-grade and appearance-based classification for higher resale value.

3. Process synergy: Works with upstream size classification and dust removal systems to ensure optimal detection accuracy and minimal error rates.

As the final checkpoint of the plant, this system defines the commercial value of the output and is a key enabler in transforming scrap into high-grade raw materials.
