The SHP pre-shredder is a front-end core unit within the SIMVIC Metal Shredding Systems, designed for primary size reduction and structural breakdown of ELV bodies, bales, and mixed scrap. Its key function is to convert high-impact, irregular input into a controlled and manageable material stream.

Within the process chain, it acts as a load buffering and feed stabilization unit. By reducing material size and complexity, it significantly decreases impact loads and energy fluctuations on downstream shredders, improving overall plant stability and continuity.At the same time, the SHP homogenizes material flow, enabling more consistent downstream separation performance and higher recovery rates. Its wide feed opening allows direct processing of complete vehicles and bulky scrap, reducing upstream dismantling requirements and enhancing plant integration.
